Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): 

  • Reduce stigma of accessing behavioral health support 

  • Increase social support 

  • Minimize symptoms of trauma 

  • Increase sensory, emotional and physiological awareness and connection 

Target audience: 

Community members who have experienced traumatic events (natural disaster, chronic conditions, assault survivors) 

  

Community Workshops: 

Community Resiliency Model (CRM) : 

  • Build resilience through social support and reduce the stigma of suffering.   

  • Educate on biology and neurophysiology of trauma and stress 

  • Learn and practice wellness skills that build resilience 

  • Identify ways to stabilize the nervous system 

Target Audience: Fire survivors, second responders and all other community members impacted by the fires 

  

Social and Emotional Well-Being:  

  • Strengthen innate resiliency and transform well-being 

  • Learn and practice mindfulness techniques 

  • Build positive coping skills for stress management 

  • Grow nonviolent communication skills 

  • Identify and manage activation in the body
